Doug lives in North Scottsdale with his wife Christy and their children Betsy, DJ, and Benjamin. He has been a resident of Scottsdale since 2009. Before living in Arizona, Doug lived in Tampa, FL, Chicago, and Tucson, AZ and, he was born and raised in New Jersey.

He graduated from The University of Arizona in 1996. Since graduation, Doug has held several positions in the financial services industry most notably in ETF and mutual fund sales & distribution roles and as a financial advisor. He has worked for some of the largest financial intuitions in the world and his quest for freedom and independence brought Doug and The Lionheart Team to WT Wealth Management.

In his spare time, you will find Doug spending quality time with his family. More than likely, he will be driving his kids to various sporting events. Doug enjoys golfing, hiking, working out, and a good happy hour with great friends.

James Thompson

Senior Investment Advisor

James Thompson (JT) lives in Scottsdale, AZ with his wife, Maggie, their two sons, Jackson and Maxwell and their beloved Mimi. He has been an Arizona resident for eight years, having relocated from Chicago. He was raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and prides himself on his Midwestern values and principles.

JT has spent the majority of his career in the financial services industry and has worked at some of Wall Street’s most prominent firms. He has experienced success in a multitude of roles, including Sales Desk Manager, Institutional Business Development Executive and Director of Capital Markets.

However, as the financial services industry underwent a radical transformation from shareholder capitalism to stakeholder capitalism, JT found himself increasingly disillusioned. He observed firsthand the rapid rise of the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) movements and the emergence of woke capitalism.

Guided by his principles, JT left his career in asset management and founded Lionheart Wealth Consultants, a firm dedicated to providing conservative Americans an alternative to Wall Street investment firms by aligning their investments with their values and principles.
